Friend

I met her some years ago when she was spending time by her daughter. I went to the back of my yard and saw her and could instantly tell she was Tami’s mother. I told her good morning and her response was so pleasant and warm considering it was the first time we met. We had the opportunity to drive together to Montego Bay and in that moment I realized this lady was a gem. I learnt so much about her and the great contribution she had made to nation building and also to her parish, I learnt so much about her career, her community service, the boards she was actively serving on and most importantly I learnt so much about her family and how much she adores her kids and grand kids. In that one moment I got a chance to do a personal assessment of myself and how I could contribute much more, be more involved, be more helpful while still being an active family person. I am so happy to have met her and shared that one moment with her. We had other small moments after that but it was nothing compared to that day and so each time I’m reminded of her I’ll always remember that moment where she was able to teach, inspire and motivate me in that one moment. RIP Angel from Elton, Tashika, Natahlia and Kenya.
